Love Songs in Challenging Times

Concert canceled due to incoming winter storm – donations still okay

We hope to reschedule at a future date!

“I call them all love songs.”   ― Pete Seeger

Challenging times? Come together for a night of live music that benefits others! New London’s Haitian Church Youth Drum Corps was to kick us off. The Rivergods (duo), Geoff Kaufman, Dan and Liz Spurr, Liliane Andres, Elastic Folks, Geoff Mitchill Band (duo), and Gilead Road will perform two songs each. As a grand finale, Denise Walstra of Fusion and the All Souls Choir will lead a spirited rendition of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power.”

The theme is love…and resilience. …and generosity!  Performers from Shekinah Haitian SDA Church, neighbors of Friday Night Folk in New London, join the party. Our beneficiary: “Innovating for a resilient Haitian future,” New London’s Haitian Hub Resource Center  offers services to the Haitian community.

Participation is what will save the human race…
— thank you for this notion, Pete Seeger!

Concert canceled: Saturday, February 15!
