On December 8 at 7:30, Maggie’s Guitar will perform “Crossing: The Musical,” a stage play. Original songs tell the story of a journey to America, with the joy and sorrow, pride and prejudice discovered along the way.

CROSSING: A MUSICAL JOURNEY is a based on a true story of love, loss, and redemption when a Scottish family came to America in the 1800s. It features 18 original songs by the southeastern Connecticut band Maggie’s Guitar.
Layered guitars blend with complex vocal harmony: Maggie’s Guitar includes Ron Gletherow on vocals, guitars, keyboards and bass; Margaret Gletherow on guitars and bass; and Mike Bailey on vocals, guitars and bass. Maggie’s Guitar records in Gales Ferry, Connecticut; its releases are available on Mystic Cats Records.The band has won praise for its tribute shows on Jim Croce and Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.”
Maggie’s Guitar has played venues throughout the Northeast, including the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia; The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Connecticut; the Garde Arts Center in New London, Connecticut; the Small Town Concert Series in Chester, Connecticut; and the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, Mass. They have recorded three CDs: Crossing, released in April 2016; Who Do We Think We Are?, in 2011; and Maggie’s Guitar, in 2008.
